Hello, my name is Roman Leonov. I am a former professional rugby player and coach and possess a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education.

 

In the early 1990’s I emigrated from St. Petersburg, Russia to the United States. Due to my language barrier, my first job in America was as a helper for a moving company. (But I was just happy to get a job!) Over time I fell in love with the moving business. I found that there were many similarities between sports and moving teams. I have always enjoyed physical work and get personal satisfaction out of completing a difficult move without any damage - it feels like winning a match.

 

After many years working for various moving companies in the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore areas, I opened my own small business in 2001 - Optimal Moving Solutions (DBA Roman The Mover).
 

My goal is to make sure you get best service possible at reasonable rates. I am able to keep rates low because of low overhead - I am still personally working as a mover/driver.

I enjoy competition. I compete for my costumers among other moving companies, but not due to my low rates. I compete by providing the highest quality professional moving service, move after move, without exceptions.
